Louisville Announces New Director of Library & Museum Services
Louisville City Manager Heather Balser has selected Sharon Nemechek as the new Director of Library & Museum Services for the City of Louisville.
Ms. Nemechek has over 15 years of experience setting strategic direction, building community relationships, and leading teams in a variety of Library settings including the Huntington Library, Arts Collections & Botanical Gardens, CA; Highlands Ranch Library, CO; the Neighborhood Library at Lone Tree, CO; Parker Library, CO; and most recently served as the Director of Archives & Collections for Douglas County Libraries, CO. She is a seasoned manager with proven success in leading projects, managing budgets, evaluating and improving processes, and mentoring staff. She has a BS in History from San Diego State University and a Master of Library and Information Science degree from UCLA. Ms. Nemechek is slated to begin mid-November.
