DRCOG Now Accepting Applications for 2019 Citizens' Academy

Post Date:02/04/2019 10:19 AM

Applications for DRCOG’s (Denver Regional Council of Governments) spring 2019 Citizens’ Academy are now open. Through the nationally recognized academy, participants learn from local experts and leaders, network with other residents and act on what they’ve learned. Since 2007, more than 800 residents from around the region have completed the academy. DRCOG assumed control and management of the Citizens’ Academy, formerly a program of the Transit Alliance, in 2018.

Over the past decade, Citizens’ Academy has inspired and prepared numerous alumni to serve as elected officials, and hundreds of participants have gone on to positions in public agencies or nonprofit organizations that shape Colorado’s future.

DRCOG is now accepting applications for the spring 2019 session. The application period will close on March 8. The seven-week academy begins April 4.

Please consider applying if interested in increasing your knowledge of regional issues and enhancing your leadership capacity. You can apply by visiting https://drcog.org/programs/citizens-academy/citizens-academy-faq. You can also contact DRCOG at lhoude@drcog.org.
