The warm weather brings with it the summer construction season. This year the Public Works Department will be completing multiple projects on utilities, streets, and sidewalks. Those property owners directly affected by the projects will receive a detailed notice from Public Works.

637 Front Street Parking Lot (Lucky Pie)
The project includes concrete and asphalt demolition, concrete replacement, new paving, and pavement makring for a new and reconfigured parking lot. The City Council awarded the contract to Metro Pavers, Inc. Working tenatively scheduled for early to mid May.
2012 Utility Project
We are about half way through this project that encompasses the south end of Old Town. The project includes the replacement of approximately 3000 lineal feet of water and sewer lines. Construction should be complete in mid to late June. Detailed Information, Schedule, and Map.
2012 Pavement Crack Seal Project
Our contractor is currently working in various locations City wide to seal moderate to severe pavement cracks that have been identified as needing repair. Work should be complete by the end of May. Detailed Information and Map.
Highway 42 Walkway and Retaining Wall Project
The project will complete the missing sidewalk segment along the west side of State Highway 42 between Harper Street and South Boulder Road. Construction began in mid April and should be complete by late May.
2012 Concrete Replacement Project
Each year City staff examines sidewalk segments for safety hazards, severe settlement, cracking and deficiencies and then identifies those needing replacement. Our contractor will be replacing concrete in various locations City wide from mid May to early July. Project map.
2012 Street Construction
Staff annually evaluates streets for wear and tear and identifies those areas that need help or maintenance to preserve and extend the life cycle of the asphalt pavement. In severe cases we will replace an entire pavement section. Street construction will commence in various locations in early July and is expected to be complete by early September.
