The City of Louisville offers its water customers rebates on certain water-conserving landscaping materials and high efficiency clothes washers as described below:

GUIDELINES:

  • Rebates are available to City of Louisville resident property owners only and apply to natural persons 18 years of age and older.
  • Rebates are limited to purchases made within Louisville in 2014, one rebate per category per customer.
  • Applications must be submitted to the Public Works Department - Water Conservation Program.
  • A site inspection may be required to verify the purchase or installation.
  • Rebates will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis, as funds are available.

PROCEDURE:

  • Purchase items from the approved list.
  • Per Colorado House Bill 06S-1023, the rebate application must be accompanied by the Affidavit of Lawful Presence in the United States (attached) and by a copy of a form of identification accepted by the Colorado Department of Revenue. The list of acceptable identification can be found at the DOR website and that list includes, for example, a valid Colorado driver’s license or valid Colorado identification care, U.S. military or merchant mariner card, or Native American Tribal Document.
  • Submit a legible copy of the receipt to the Public Works Department along with a completed application form.
  • If a rebate is requested for a clothes washer purchase, applicant must submit a copy of the updated attached CEE Qualifying Product List, with the make and model of the clothes washer clearly marked. In addition, the make and model number of the clothes washer must be clearly identified on the receipt. If purchased in December, the application must be recieved by for January 31.
  • If a rebate is requested for a toilet, the applicant must sign the application verifying proper disposal of the one being replaced. For more infromation on recyling you may contact Eco-Cycle at 303.444.6634 or visit their web site. 
  • If a site visit is required, you will be contacted by the City of Louisville Public Works Department - Water Conservation Program Office.
  • When approved, rebate recipient information will be forwarded to the Utility Billing Office and a credit will be applied to the resident's water bill. In special circumstances, such as multiple residents billed to one utility account, a check may be issued to the resident property owner. Turnaround time will be approximately one month.
