McCaslin Parcel O Development Study

The City contracted with Economic & Planning Systems (EPS) to conduct the McCaslin Area Development Study.  EPS, along with Trestle Strategy, presented their final findings to the City Council on February 5, 2019.

City Council directed staff to begin preparing a GDP amendment to allow for parcel-by-parcel mixed use redevelopment within the Parcel O Area and to begin work with the area property owners to modify the private restrictive covenants to allow for the new uses.  Such modifications are expected to come back to the City Council and public for review in summer 2019.

550 S. McCaslin Blvd. Urban Renewal

On September 1, 2015, the Louisville City Council approved an Urban Renewal Plan for 550 S. McCaslin Blvd. formerly the Louisville Sam's Club location.  The Sam's Club closed in January 2010 and has not been used as a retail property since.  The 13 acre parcel and 127,000 square foot building is a critical retail property for the McCaslin / Centennial Valley area.  The Urban Renewal Plan was approved to make tools available to address challenges found that impair the full utilization of the property.
