What is a Makerspace?

MakeIt_logo   The Louisville Public Library Makerspace is a creative space where people can collaborate on projects and share tools they may not be able to afford on their own. It’s a great place to meet people and share knowledge.
Our Makerspace is a hub of DIY information and activity for learners of all ages who want hands-on experience with robotics, programming, recording equipment, and other sorts of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) tools. And it’s free!

Makerspaces and public libraries are natural partners. As a professor of library science recently put it, “We’re in the curiosity business!” Stop by your Makerspace and see where your curiosity leads you!
