The City's online map contains information related to zoning, overlay districts, Comprehensive Plan land use designations, historical property information, subdivision plats, current development projects, floodplains, and general property information.
Tips for Using the Map
To review Current Development Projects and Historical Property Information, click on the respective tabs at the top of the map. For all other information, click on the Planning and Land Use tab.
You may zoom in and out of the map for general information. You may also search for information about a specific property by clicking on the search icon (binoculars) on the left side of the screen and then entering the parcel identification number, address, owner, or street name from the drop down menu. Once the property is selected, click on it in the map. Click on the arrow at the top of the pop up screen to view the various layers of information.
To view subdivision plats, it is best to open the map in Explorer.
When looking for zoning information, the map will identify the zoning designation. To review permitted uses allowed in each zone district, see Louisville Municipal Code Sections 17.12.010 and 17.12.030. For information on development standards (setbacks, height, site coverage, etc), see Section 17.12.040.
Most all development in the City is a part of a Planned Unit Development, which includes additional development standards. Please contact the Planning Department via email or by calling 303-335-4592 to obtain a copy of a PUD.
