Looking to learn more about drones, those unmanned aircraft that are seemingly everywhere in the sky (and in the news)? Join Dr. Richard Koehler, an FAA-certified drone pilot, for an illuminating discussion about drones' different uses, applicable laws and regulations, getting started as a hobbyist, a virtual reality (VR) demo, and more!
Dr. Richard Koehler has over 40 years’ experience in mapping, charting, surveying, and environmental studies. He is the founder of Visual Data Analytics, LLC, an environmental data consulting firm. He is also a retired lieutenant commander (NOAA Corps) where he served aboard oceanographic research ships. He is fascinated by drones and the potential they have for helping improve land management and provide environmental modeling.
