Live Storytelling Performance: Malakah and the Away Game (Rescheduled from 1/31)

Presented with support from the Louisville Cultural Council Art Grant Program

This event has been postponed. It will now take place on Friday, February 21st.
Written by Cyanne Stonesmith and illustrated by Lio Bumba (BUMBAKiNi). Malakah and the Away Game is a story of a young refugee, her difficult journey, and finding belonging through community.
In this live storytelling performance, words come to life on paper, as the story is illustrated on a moving drawing, called a Crankie. Like a graphic novel in motion, as it is told, the Crankie casts a spell over the audience.
