Yoko performs some of the most beautiful Japanese melodies including modern and classical pieces as well as folk songs. The Koto, which is integral to Japanese soundscape, is made from hollowed out Paulownia wood. The Koto's thirteen woven strings stretched over bridges are plucked and strummed, setting the whole instrument into vibration with a lyrical harp-like quality.
