Library and Museum Participate in the First Friday Art Walk

The Louisville Public Library and Louisville Historical Museum will be participating in the October First Friday Art Walk! Be sure to stop by both locations as you enjoy Friday night in Louisville!

After welcoming over 400 visitors at the First Friday Art Walk in June, the Louisville Public Library, in partnership with the Louisville Art Association, will be extending our hours and hosting an exciting and engaging First Friday Art Walk on Friday, October4! Stop by the Library from 6to 8 pm for a Community Art Project and a chance to view art work from local artists.

In an economically poor town like Louisville, families had to earn money however they could. Women in particular could make a little extra by working out of their homes doing laundry, dressmaking, or even tying flies for men to use to go fishing. Come by the Museum during the First Friday Art Walk to discover these and other cottage industries.
