Try the FlexRide for free
Commuting Solutions is offering all Louisville residents the opportunity to try the FlexRide – for free.
RTD's FlexRide is a call-ahead, on demand neighorhood bus service for all to use. It’s a great alternative to taking the car or using the popular ridesharing apps (plus your bike or stroller can come along too).
FlexRide can pick you up and drop you off anywhere in Louisville (plus FlatIron Crossing Mall, Superior Marketplace, and US 36 & McCaslin Station Gate H). You can book it online (or call) when need it – or you can book one trip or recurring trips up to 180 days in advance.
Unlike ridesharing apps, the price is fixed: $3 for adults, $1.50 for seniors and other discounts, and only $.90 for young people age 19 years and under. You can use it anytime Monday-Friday 5:30 am until 10 pm.
Commenting, Commuting Solutions Executive Director Audrey DeBarros said:
“We are delighted to partner with the City of Louisville to encourage everyone to try the FlexRide. It is a great service that provides so many opportunities to leave the car at home or increase independence and convenience for those without cars.”
