2023 Disaster Education & Outreach Series Continues on Feb. 27

Post Date:02/14/2023 1:19 PM
Mark your calendars for Monday, Feb. 27, when Louisville's 2023 Disaster Education & Outreach Series returns with a program focused on Reducing Your Risk at Home. Hear from experts on what homeowners can do to reduce risk from wildland fire at their homes and property, including improving building performance, home hardening, landscaping, and available resources.

As with previous programs in the series, the Feb. 27 program will be held from 6–8 PM at the Louisville Recreation & Senior Center, 900 West Via Appia Way as well as virtually via Zoom. As with all programs in the series, this program is open to all members of the community, including residents of Superior and unincorporated Boulder County.

The most recent program in the series was held on Monday, Feb. 13 and focused on emergency preparedness and notifications. Panelists from the City of Louisville, Louisville Fire Protection District, Boulder County, and Mountain View Fire shared information on existing and new alert and warning systems, preparedness actions that households should undertake and an overview of the evacuation process and what to plan for. If you weren't able to attend, you can view a recording of the program as well as a copy of the program's presentation.
