Crews working to fix Hecla Drive water main break; part of Hecla Lake Trail closed

Public Works crews are currently working to repair a water main break at Hecla Drive and Luke Street. In order to repair the break, crews are replacing a valve nearby at Hecla Lake near Lakespur Lane that has necessitated the temporary closure of a portion of the Hecla Lake trail. Crews hope to have this work completed within the next few days.

The break was in a raw water line, so drinking water is not impacted, and no water shutoffs are anticipated at this time. Updates will be posted to LouisvilleCO.gov as they are available.

The temporarily closed portion of Hecla Lake Trail is shown below shaded in yellow:
