City Council candidate informational session set for Monday, July 29

Post Date:07/23/2024 3:28 PM

The next City election will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Like all City of Louisville elections, this election will be nonpartisan. One Ward 1 City Council seat is the only City office on the ballot this year, and the individual elected will serve until November 2025.

Interested in running for the Ward 1 seat? The Clerk's Office will host an informational meeting for interested candidates on Monday, July 29 at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 749 Main Street. The presentation will cover information about what the City Council does and how the election process works. In order to run for the Ward 1 seat, you must be a United States citizen at least 18 years of age, registered to vote in the City of Louisville, and you must be a resident of Ward 1 for one year immediately prior to the election.

Not sure whether or not you're in Ward 1? No problem — check the Ward Map.
