Branch Recycle Site Open May 8 & 9

Post Date:05/07/2026
Fallen Tree Branch in snow

Due to recent heavy snowfall and resulting tree limb damage throughout the community, the City of Louisville will open the Branch Recycle Site on Friday, May 8, and Saturday, May 9, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Branch Recycle Site is located just north of the Louisville Cemetery on Empire Road. The site is available to Louisville residents only, and proof of residency is required at the gate. Please bring a valid form of identification, such as a driver’s license or utility bill showing your name and address.

Property owners are responsible for managing downed trees and branches on private property and within the adjacent public right-of-way. Residents are encouraged to work with licensed landscape contractors or arborists if assistance is needed with safe tree or branch removal. Please do not place branches in parkways or other public areas.

City Forestry crews will continue working throughout the community to remove debris on public land that poses an immediate risk to public safety and transportation. Cleanup efforts on City property will remain ongoing in the coming days.

To report debris or downed trees, submit it via our City Problem Reporter at Louisvilleco.gov/Report

For more information, visit LouisvilleCo.gov/BranchSite or contact the City Forester at 303-335-4733.
