What a world we find ourselves in! The changes we've seen due to the spread of COVID-19 can be truly mind-boggling. We are, without a doubt, living through an historically significant moment for Louisville, the state, the nation, and the world.
Here at the Museum, we know people are still adapting to a rapidly changing world. We also know that many of us are looking for comfort in a variety of sources - including history. Quarantines due to disease outbreaks are completely new for most of us. But, in fact, people in Louisville (and beyond) have navigated similar events in the past.
You can read about previous disease outbreaks that affected Louisville here:
We need your help to do our part documenting current events for future generations. We want to hear about your experiences, but we also want more than just a snapshot of one day or one week. Please consider taking this survey multiple times over the next few weeks as things are changing rapidly and so too will your responses.
If you prefer to print out a copy of this survey, you can do that here. Kids, share your perspective with this Historian for a Day Kit that includes a guide for filling out this survey.
Thank you for helping us preserve the present for the future!
