Report Graffiti
Incidents of graffiti produce a negative appearance to the community and to those visiting the area. In an effort to reduce the presence of graffiti, the City has adopted the following procedures to ensure the timely removal or covering of graffiti:
- Offensive Graffiti on Public Property
- If offensive writing or drawings are found on City-owned property (i.e. signs, walls, buildings, etc.), the City will remove or cover the graffiti within 24 hours of notification or after confirming that the Police Department has collected any evidence necessary to prosecute criminal activity.
- Non-Offensive Graffiti on Public Property
- If non-offensive writing or drawings are found on City-owned property, the City will remove or cover the graffiti within 7 days or after confirming that the Police Department has collected any evidence necessary to prosecute criminal activity.
- Offensive/Non-Offensive Graffiti on Private Property
- The City does not remove or cover any writing or drawings on private property or enforce removal or covering on private property. Graffiti reports should be directed to the business owner, company, district, etc. that owns the property. Below is a list of frequent contacts:

- The City does not remove or cover any writing or drawings on private property or enforce removal or covering on private property. Graffiti reports should be directed to the business owner, company, district, etc. that owns the property. Below is a list of frequent contacts:
Residents, business owners, and visitors can report graffiti on City-owned property by sending an email to ReportGraffiti@LouisvilleCO.gov. Please include a description of the graffiti and its location. The City will schedule removal or covering of graffiti after receiving a report. For graffiti on private property, you should contact the property owner to discuss the incident.
