About the Arts and Events Calendar


This Arts and Events Calendar is a feature of the City of Louisville’s website that allows the City and community to post events in a common location to be viewed by the general public. Postings are for informational purposes only. While City personnel monitor submissions to ensure compliance with the City’s Acceptable Events policy (see below), the City does not endorse or verify the accuracy of the posted information. If an entry includes a link to a web site, the City does not verify or endorse the authenticity, accuracy, appropriateness or security of the link, web site or content linked thereto. The City urges you to exercise caution when accessing any unfamiliar web site. Please contact the presenting organization to verify event details.

Acceptable Events

The intention of this Calendar is promote public and private advancement of the arts and culture to strengthen the quality of life and small town character of Louisville. Submissions for posting to the City of Louisville Arts and Event Calendar must:

  • Take place in the City of Louisville;
  • Expressly identify the presenting organization and its contact information;
  • Be open to the public;
  • Promote visual arts, performing arts, cultural history, natural history, natural sciences, or community-wide special events.

All submissions will be reviewed by City personnel. Submissions that do not fit this policy will not be posted to the Arts and Event Calendar, and the City reserves the right to remove any posting that does not fit this policy.
