2019 Concrete Replacement Project
City Council awarded the contract to Standard Concrete Inc. The work is substantially complete.
2019 Street Resurfacing Project
City Council awarded the contract to APC Construction Company, LLC (APC). Work is substantially complete.
2019 Street Reconstruction Project
City Council awarded the contract to PLM Asphalt & Concrete, Inc. The work is substantially complete.
2019 Water Main Replacement Project
The project was awarded to Brannan Construction Co. The work is substantially complete.
SH42 Underpass Project
The project was awarded to Edge Contracting. Construction will continue through Spring of 2020 that will create a pedestrian underpass between Hecla Drive and Summit View Drive underneath SH42. Easterly lane shift in place to accommodate work on west side of SH42.
SH42 and Short Street Project
The project was awarded to Goodland Construction. Work includes storm sewer, curb and walk along west side of SH42, sanitary sewer main segment realignment and reconstruction of SH42 between Griffith St. and South St. Project construction has commenced and will continue through May 2020.
Gas Main/Service Improvements
Xcel Energy is upgrading gas mains west of Downtown to improve system capacity and better service customers. New gas main and service line construction will continue through December, weather permitting. Work will occur on the following street segments:
- South St. from Main St. to Lincoln Ave.
- Lincoln Ave. from South St. to Spruce St.
- Spruce St. from Lincoln Ave. to McKinley Ave.
Geotechnical Investigation for the Southern Water Supply Pipeline Project
The City will be conducting a geotechnical investigation along the future alignment of the planned Southern Water Supply Pipeline Project from November to mid-December, weather permitting. The investigation will be occurring in the City’s North, Bullhead Gulch, and Hecla Lake Open Space areas. Pipeline construction is anticipated to begin in 2020.
S. 96th Street Erosion Control
The City repaired excessive erosion which occured south of the North Metro Fire Rescue Station 67. Additional erosion control measures are expected to be implemented through December, weather permitting.
