The City of Louisville is currently addressing encroachment onto City Owned Parks and Open Space. In August, the City will be issuing letters to citizens found to be in violation of the attached City Municipal Code pertaining to encroachment. If you receive a letter, and have questions regarding how to comply please call or email the Ranger Naturalists at 303.335.4770 or at

What to do if you receive a letter:

  1. Read the instructions provided in the letter.
  2. Fulfill the City’s requests within the allotted amount of time and refrain from committing violations in the future.
  3. Encroachment violations not remedied within the provided time frame will result in a Municipal Court Summons.

Thank you for doing your part to preserve Louisville’s Park and Open Space! For more information, see the attached flyer here.
