Read to Rover

What's better than reading a good book? Reading it to a dog. Read to Rover is a free weekly program where kids read aloud to certified therapy dogs and their volunteer handlers. All reading levels are welcome.

What to Expect

Kids arrive, meet the therapy dogs and their handlers, and take turns reading aloud. Dogs are patient, calm, and happy to listen to every word. All dogs are certified by the Alliance of Therapy Dogs and trained to be gentle with children of all ages.

Reading to a dog is a no-pressure way for kids to build confidence, practice at their own pace, and grow a love of reading along the way.
