Get involved

Getting involved in your community is one of the best things you can do as a teen. It looks great on college applications and resumes, but more than that, it is a chance to make real connections, discover new interests, and make a difference in the place you call home.

Volunteering and community participation can help you:

  • Build confidence and self-esteem
  • Make new friends and professional connections
  • Discover interests you never knew you had
  • Explore social and political issues you care about
  • Strengthen your college applications
  • Add valuable experience to your resume
