We're upgrading our Sales Tax Portal this December

We’re launching a new online sales tax portal to make filing and managing your sales tax easier. The new system will also make our sales tax reporting process more consistent with other Colorado cities. 

Important dates

December 1–6, 2026: Current and new portal unavailable 

The City's current sales tax portal will be temporarily unavailable while we switch to the new system. 

December 7, 2026, at 8 a.m.: New portal opens 

You can begin using the new sales tax portal on December 7 at 8 a.m. MST. 

How to set up your new account

The City will mail you a letter with a unique Letter ID that you'll need to set up your account. Please check to make sure your mailing address is correct in the current system before November 10th, 2026. Letters will be mailed in Mid-November. 

Once the new portal opens on December 7, you will follow these steps: 

Visit the new sales tax portal. Link to new portal will be provided in your letter. You will also still be able to access the portal from LouisvilleCO.gov/SalesTax. 

Get help

We know that switching to a new system can take some getting used to. To help make this transition easier, the City will offer free, in-person training sessions to show businesses how to use the portal and answer any questions.
