City of Louisville Branch Recycle Site
- Available to Louisville Residents. Proof of residency will be checked at the gate by City staff.
- This site only accepts woody plant material such as tree and shrub debris. Leaves and grass clippings are not accepted.
- Located just to the north of the Louisville Cemetery on Empire Road (view map)

April - October:
- Open the first Saturday of April - October from 8 am - 1 pm.
- Mulch give away hosted first Saturday of April and October 8am-1pm during branch drop off.
- Mulch pick up is self-serve at gated entrance and is available year round. Staff refresh materials weekly.
November-March:
- Open by appointment only. Appointments can be scheduled 7am-3:30pm, Monday- Friday.
- Christmas tree recycling will be available on Saturday, January 3 and Saturday, January 17 from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
- Mulch pick up is self-serve at gated entrance and is available year round. Staff refresh materials weekly.

Directions
From downtown Louisville at the intersection of Main Street and Pine Street, take Pine Street east. It will cross Highway 42 and turn into Empire Road. Remain on Empire Road about 1.3 miles. The recycling site will be on your right just before the Louisville Cemetery.

Who can use this site? This site is for Louisville residents only. City staff will check proof of residency at the gate.
What can I bring? Tree branches and shrub trimmings only. Leaves and grass clippings are not accepted.
Who is responsible for downed trees and branches on my property? Property owners are responsible for cleaning up downed trees and branches on their private property and in the public right-of-way next to their property, per city code (Ord. No. 1484-2006, § 1, 2-7-2006, Sec. 8.12.060). If you need help, hire a licensed landscape contractor or arborist. Do not move branches to parkways or other public areas.
