Donate Books & Discover New Reads!

The Louisville Public Library and the Louisville Public Library Foundation are excited to host two upcoming opportunities for community members to give books new life—and find new favorites of their own.

Book Donation Event – Sunday, September 27, 9 a.m.–12 p.m.
If books are piling up in your home, we can help put them to good use. Bring up to five boxes of books per household to our donation event, where they’ll either support the Foundation’s annual book sale or be recycled responsibly. To help us manage volume and keep drop-offs running smoothly, please sign up for a time slot.

Foundation Used Book Sale – October 2–4
The annual Louisville Public Library Foundation Used Book Sale returns with great deals for every reader. Books are just $1 each—perfect for expanding your home library or finding thoughtful gifts. Every purchase supports Foundation-funded programming, technology, and special projects that enrich the library experience for the entire community.

Sale Hours:

• Friday, October 2 | 5–7 p.m.
• Saturday, October 3 | 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
• Sunday, October 4 | 1–5 p.m.
