Memory Square Park Playground Replacement

Work will soon be underway to replace the playground equipment and safety surfacing. The area will close when construction begins the week of 9/21. We anticipate an approximately 1-month long closure, with the new playground opening in late-October.  Please respect construction closures and stay tuned for details about a ribbon cutting ceremony. 

This project continues a multi-year effort to update playground infrastructure across the city.  Memory Square playground is one of the three oldest, along with the Recreation & Senior Center and Community Park.  Playground replacement will resolve numerous issues with broken features that are unable to be replaced, comply with current safety and accessibility criteria, and provide better service for park users!
