Work will be starting the week of 9/21/2026 to replace the playground equipment and safety surfacing at Memory Square Park.

The City of Louisville Parks, Recreation & Open Space department is excited to share that the inline skate rink—located next to the Police Station—is being converted into permanent outdoor pickleball courts!
On Wednesday, July 15, the City will treat the 11 ash trees at Memory Square Park to help protect them from the invasive Emerald Ash Borer (EAB), a destructive insect that kills ash trees.
Playground improvements are planned for 2026 at both Memory Square Park and the Recreation & Senior Center — and we need your input.
