Aqua Zumba®

This class brings a new meaning to the idea of an invigorating workout. It combines the South American Zumba rhythm and dance steps with a pool party. It offers a fun but challenging, water-based, body-toning workout. 

AquaFit 

  • Combo: These classes incorporate both deep and shallow-water interval workouts. Classes will include body movements to build muscle, flexibility, core strength & stamina throughout the body.
  • Shallow: This water exercise class increases flexibility, muscle strength, and cardio.
  • Deep water aerobics: This class is designed to be no impact. It will improve cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength, core strength, and flexibility. Belts are provided.
  • HIIT Aquafit: Get ready to power it up! This class incorporates high-intensity intervals and finishes with core and upper body strength work.

Balance & Stability 

A stability skills training program for older adults to improve your balance, mobility, agility, and power.  We will train using exercises that improve your total-body awareness.

Barre

This format combines elements of ballet, Pilates, yoga, and strength training.

BODYPUMP™ | Age 16+

Build total-body strength and muscular endurance using light-to-moderate weights and high repetitions. This motivating group workout is easy to follow, fun, and suitable for a variety of fitness levels. 

BODYPUMP HEAVY™ | Age 16+ 

Tempo-based weightlifting with traditional lifting techniques, slow moves, and long recoveries. It’s challenging, energizing, and builds lean muscle like nothing else. BODYPUMP HEAVY™ is serious strength training made simple and fun. No intimidation, just science-backed heavy lifting, iconic music, and addictive energy.

Boot Camp 

This 45–60 minute total-body workout uses a variety of indoor and outdoor locations, along with different equipment, to build strength, endurance, and cardiovascular fitness. Every class begins with a warm-up before moving into a challenging workout.

Building Strength & Flexibility

Building strength increases bone density and improves overall muscle strength. Stretching focuses on posture and breathing to increase flexibility.

Cardio Drumming

With drumsticks, an exercise ball, and a ball stand, this cardio drumming class will have you drumming along to songs you know and love! It's a fun cardio workout to build strength, endurance, and coordination. 

Cardio Sculpt

Combine cardio intervals with strength and endurance exercises for a full-body workout that builds muscle, improves endurance, and keeps your heart rate up.

Cycle  

This class combines a foundation of basic cycling movements with motivational coaching techniques, breathing awareness, and heart rate training.

  • Express: a 45-min class to get you in & out!
  • Endurance: a 90-minute class with longer duration sets. 
  • Power Interval: a 45min class geared towards high-intensity intervals.

Cycle-Yoga  

The perfect combo of a 45-minute Express Cycle class + a half-hour of basic yoga.  Here is your chance to get your cardio and stretching in one session.  This class is appropriate for all age and ability levels.

Hip-Hop

No dance training needed here! Hip Hop Dance Class is about getting into your body and your own personal groove: less about technique and form; more about attitude and fun. It is a high-energy cardio workout that's based in the music and your own expression of movement. Class begins with a 15-minute dance warm-up and dynamic stretch designed to raise your heart rate and lower your worries. Followed by the learning and practicing of choreography at faster and faster Beats Per Minute (BPMs) until we discover the song with the right balance of spunk and speed. Then we dance dance dance. 

Kickboxing

This high-energy class with a “punch” will sculpt your body using punches, kicks, and cardiovascular training.

Fitness Line Dance for Beginners

Want to move your feet and get your blood pumping with no dance experience required?  Join us for an introduction to line dancing from old favorites like the Hustle to newer options like the Wobble and Jerusalema.  Each dance will include a walk-through before we crank up the music and have some fun!  Enjoy some familiar music and shake your groove thing!

LaBlast® Fitness

This class is a partner-free dance fitness workout created by world-renowned dancer and fitness expert Louis van Amstel (as seen on Dancing with the Stars). It’s accessible for all levels – from the absolute beginner to the experienced dancer. LaBlast® takes you through a diverse mix of famous ballroom dances set to your favorite music, everything from pop and rock to hip-hop and country.

Latin Dance Fitness

Dance your way through a full-body workout. We’ll explore music from across Latin America, including salsa, merengue, bachata, Brazilian funk, reggaeton, samba, and more. The goal is to feel confident, break a sweat, and celebrate through dance!

Lunch Crunch

Make the most of your lunch break with a fast-paced workout that combines strength training, core work, cardio, and flexibility exercises.

Move It Improve It!

This is a research-based, drop-in exercise program taught by an occupational therapist. It was specifically designed to target the motor and non-motor symptoms of Parkinson’s disease, but can be beneficial for anyone who wants to improve balance, flexibility, posture, or functional mobility. The goal is to optimize brain health, prevent falls, and improve overall quality of movement in real-life situations. We learn basic movement patterns in sitting, standing, on the floor, or walking. Then we add challenges to voice, coordination, balance, timing, and cognition to promote neuroplasticity, all while making it fun and interesting.

NIA

  • NIA: Combining dance, martial arts, and mindfulness, Nia tones your body while transforming your mind. More than just a workout, Nia is a holistic fitness practice addressing each aspect of your life - body, mind, and soul in 52 simple moves. Nia is non-impact, practiced barefoot, and adaptable to individual needs and abilities.
  • NIA Moving to Heal: This class is designed for those looking for a gentler way to support their well-being, using inspiring music to maintain strength, balance & mobility, and can be done standing, in a chair, or in a combination.

Pilates Mat

All are welcome to this mind-body class focused on building core strength and flexibility. Controlled exercises are done on a mat, usually in a sitting or lying-down position. Some exercises will also challenge the upper body.

Power Beats Weightlifting 

Join the personal trainer for an engaging fitness class that merges contemporary music with effective weightlifting strategies. This class targets all major muscle groups and includes compound movements known to promote muscle growth and improve bone density. Participants can expect a workout that focuses not only on lifting but also on rhythm and energy, enhancing the overall fitness experience. Get ready to elevate your strength and enjoy a dynamic training session!

Senior Barre

This no-experience-necessary class will focus on exercises that impact stability, alignment, and form. We will move to activate and target the core muscles, those crucial muscles that contribute to overall body stability, balance, and posture. These high-reps, low-impact movements, inspired by yoga, Pilates, and ballet, will increase strength and flexibility. Most exercises will be introduced while standing, with a mat on the floor, with modifications offered throughout the workout.

SilverSneakers®

  • CardioFit: Get up and go with an aerobics class that’s safe, heart-healthy and gentle on the joints. The workout includes easy-to-follow low-impact movement and upper-body strength, abdominal conditioning, stretching and relaxation exercises designed to energize your active lifestyle.
  • Classic: Have fun and move to the music with a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of motion, and activities of daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are available for resistance training.  A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support.
  • Circuit: Combine fun with fitness in this standing circuit workout. Strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobics choreography. A chair is offered for support.
  • Yoga: Move through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses designed to increase flexibility, balance, and range of movement. 

Step

An advanced-level, high-intensity, low-impact aerobics class using a step bench. Involves movements and combinations with varying speed, travel and choreography.

Strength & Stretch

Flex your muscles during the core-strength section, then end with a relaxing stretch to increase flexibility.

TRX

Take your bodyweight strength training to a new level with a TRX workout! This class will focus on full-body strengthening with an emphasis on core stabilization. Previous strength training experience preferred.

Ultimate Core

Strengthen your core while improving stability and posture. This class targets your abdominal muscles, back, glutes, hips, and supporting muscle groups for a stronger, more balanced body.

Yoga 

  • Traditional Hatha yoga, Vinyasa-style: Traditional Hatha and Vinyasa-style (flowing, continuous movement between postures) yoga focus on breathing, relaxation, and proper alignment to restore calm, improve balance, and increase energy.
  • Gentle Flow to Restore Relax: Relax, unwind, and soothe your nervous system with this gentle holistic yoga class. The first half of class focuses on gentle movement and traditional yoga asana, followed by supported restorative yoga poses. With an emphasis on relaxation, deep listening, and connection, each class may include breathwork, meditation, sound healing, and an inspiring reading or theme to help you restore both body and mind.
  • Gentle Yoga: A slower paced practice with gentle transitions between postures, allowing you to move mindfully while improving flexibility, balance, and relaxation.
  • Healthy Back Yoga: Support a healthy spine and balanced hips with this therapeutic yoga class designed to improve alignment, strength, flexibility, and balance. Poses include spinal lengthening, deep twists, core strengthening, hip openers, and fascial release for the back, hips, and diaphragm. You'll leave feeling stronger, more mobile, and refreshed. Suitable for all experience levels.
  • Power Yoga: Move through a faster-paced, fitness-focused flow that builds strength, balance, flexibility, and endurance. Expect continuous movement and a more challenging workout.
  • Sunrise Yoga (May-Sept): Start your morning with an all-levels Vinyasa flow on the Recreation & Senior Center outdoor pool deck while enjoying Colorado's sunrise and mountain views. In the event of bad weather, class meets on Zoom.
  • Therapeutic Intermediate Yoga: This alignment-based therapeutic yoga class builds on the foundation of Healthy Back Yoga with more challenging poses and a slightly higher intensity. You'll improve strength, balance, and flexibility while focusing on proper alignment for your body. The class includes poses such as binds, arm balances, inversions, and standing balances. Basic yoga experience is required. Healthy Back Yoga is recommended but not required.
  • Yin Yoga: A feel good gentle deep stretch class. We land in each posture for 2 - 4 minutes, allowing the muscles and fascia time to open up and create lasting flexibility and pain relief. It is a great class for recovering from athletic endeavors, relieving chronic muscle tension and improving flexibility and circulation. It is appropriate for any experience level - we will give beginner and advanced adaptations for every stretch and posture.
  • Yoga Strong: Incorporates light hand weights; poses target and strengthen specific muscles.  The occasional “cardio burst” creates an energizing and fun class!

ZoneTone 

This class uses hand weights, bands, and/or body bars for total-body sculpting and toning.  Cardio indicates an additional focus on increasing your heart rate.

Zumba® 

A fusion of Latin and International music - dance themes creating a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. 

  • Zumba® Gold: Gold indicates modified, easy-to-follow, low-impact moves for active older adults and those who prefer a slower pace.
  • Zumba® Gold Chair class: Zumba Gold Chair class is a fun, joyful, and friendly fitness class for anyone who wants to exercise sitting down – in a chair, in a wheelchair, or on a stability ball. It combines the exciting dance moves of a regular Zumba class with the specific needs of people who prefer to sit to exercise. You will get a serious core, arm, and brain workout. Be prepared to sweat, laugh, and leave with a smile on your face.
  • Zumba + Lift™: Zumba + Lift™ is a new strength training workout that combines resistance training with Zumba's signature dance-fitness energy, using weights to build muscle while keeping the fun of dance.
