Ash Tree Treatments Planned at Memory Square Park
On Wednesday, July 15, the City will treat the 11 ash trees at Memory Square Park to help protect them from the invasive Emerald Ash Borer (EAB), a destructive insect that kills ash trees.
The work will be performed by Berkelhammer Tree Experts. The treatment is injected directly into each tree rather than sprayed, making it the safest application method with no risk of drift or public exposure.
Temporary signs will be posted at park entrances before work begins, and contractors and City staff will be on site throughout the day.
Thank you for your patience as we take proactive steps to help preserve these valuable community trees.
