Louisville Lens
Opening Reception
Stop by the Louisville Public Library on Friday, September 4, from 4 to 7 p.m. for the reveal of this community‑supported project. We will be serving light refreshments.
Louisville Lens invites you to see our community through fresh eyes. We may share the same streets, parks, and routines, but each of us experiences Louisville differently. Our emotions, routines, memories, and everyday observations shape a personal lens on the place we call home.
To celebrate these perspectives, the City of Louisville partnered with Big Heart Film photographer Megan Sweeney and worked with 22 residents of all ages to capture their view of Louisville using disposable cameras. The results are small, striking, wonderfully human snapshots of what people notice, cherish, and find meaningful in the everyday life of our city.
Join us throughout September to explore Louisville from new angles.
