Board of Adjustment
The Board of Adjustment is a quasi-judicial board that:
- Hears and decides requests for variances from the City’s zoning ordinance in Title 17 of the Municipal Code
- Hears and decides floodplain development permits
- Decides whether a specific use is permitted per the Municipal Code use groups
- Hears appeals of administrative zoning and floodplain decisions.
The Board of Adjustment was created as part of the 1962 Municipal Code. Today, the Board is regulated by Chapter 17.48 of the Louisville Municipal Code.
Meetings
Regular meetings are at 6:30 PM on the third Wednesday of each month, as needed.

Members of the public are welcome to attend meetings and give comments remotely using the links below. However, the in-person meeting may continue even if technology issues prevent remote participation.

How do I submit a variance or other application type?
Applications for variances, floodplain development, etc. can be submitted to the Planning Department. A list of application materials for variances can be found on the Land Use Application webpage.

- Post mail at City Hall, 749 Main Street, Louisville, CO 80027. Please be sure to include "Board of Adjustment" on the envelope.
The staff liaison will include any questions or comments in the upcoming public meeting packet.
