Business resources

The City of Louisville is committed to supporting a thriving business community by providing resources, partnerships, and programs that help businesses start, grow, invest, and succeed. Whether you are expanding your operations, exploring redevelopment opportunities, or looking for business support services, our Economic Vitality team can help connect you with the right tools and resources.

Business Assistance Program

The Business Assistance Program (BAP) helps businesses relocate, expand, and invest in Louisville through City-approved incentives and rebates. Eligible businesses may receive assistance for building permits, construction and sales taxes, sign permits, tenant improvements, and qualifying commercial lease agreements. Since its inception, the program has supported millions of dollars in private investment while helping create and retain local jobs.

Businesses considering a new location, expansion project, or commercial investment are encouraged to connect with the Economic Vitality Team early in the planning process to explore available incentives.

Business Retention Services

Louisville's Business Retention Visit Program provides local businesses with an opportunity to connect directly with City staff, discuss goals and challenges, and learn about available resources. These complimentary visits help strengthen relationships between the City and the business community while ensuring local businesses have access to the support they need.

Whether your business is growing, facing challenges, or simply looking to stay connected, business retention visits offer a valuable opportunity for collaboration and feedback.

Urban Renewal

The Louisville Revitalization Commission (LRC), serving as the City's Urban Renewal Authority, supports redevelopment and reinvestment within designated Urban Renewal Areas. Through public-private partnerships and targeted financial assistance programs, the LRC helps property owners, businesses, and developers improve commercial properties, upgrade infrastructure, enhance building façades, and encourage long-term investment.

Programs are designed to support projects that strengthen economic vitality, improve community appearance, and attract new private investment in key commercial areas.

Business Support Partners

Louisville works closely with a network of local, regional, and statewide organizations that provide business assistance, mentoring, workforce resources, financing guidance, networking opportunities, and economic development services. These partners include the Louisville Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Business Association, Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation, SCORE, the Boulder Small Business Development Center, and the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade.

Together, these organizations help businesses access expertise, training, connections, and resources at every stage of growth.
