Historic Preservation Commission

The Historic Preservation Commission:

  • Advises the City Council and City staff on the City's Historic Preservation Program.
  • Oversees the landmarking process for properties in Louisville to be designated as local landmarks of historical relevance.
  • Makes recommendations on funding from the Historic Preservation Fund.

Meetings

Regular meetings are at 6:30 PM on the third Monday of each month at City Hall at 749 Main Street. 

Agendas for all meetings are posted at:

Members of the public are welcome to attend meetings and give comments remotely using the links below. However, the in-person meeting may continue even if technology issues prevent remote participation.

Please give at least two business days’ notice.

The Commission has seven members appointed by the City Council. 

Appointments to the board are for a period of three years. 

How do I contact the Commission? 

  • Email the staff liaison or call them at 303‑335‑4580.
  • Post mail at City Hall, 749 Main Street Louisville CO 80027. Please write “Historic Preservation Commission” on the envelope.
The staff liaison will add any questions or comments to the public meeting packet.
Keep in mind that anything you send to the Commission can be viewed by the public under the Colorado Open Records Act.
