May 12, 2026: UPDATED Contractor Licensing – Expired Licenses and Renewals
- February 3, 2026: Defensible Space Landscaping Standards for Marshall Fire-Impacted Areas
Applicable to landscaping within the first five feet of the home in the Marshall Fire Rebuild areas. Contact planning@louisvilleco.gov for more information.
- January 21, 2026: Fire Hardening Updates - New ordinance passed by City Council regarding building code requirements and junipers.
- December 6, 2025: 2024 ICC codes - The effective date that all permit applications must use the 2024 ICC codes and 2024 IECC with local amendments as adopted.
- October 9, 2025: Updated Policy on Expired Permits
- June 23, 2025: ADUs - The City has passed an ordinance in alignment with state legislation allowing Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) in residential areas.
- June 23, 2025: Contractor licensing changes
- June 2025: Re-register on the CSS Portal - The City's Customer Self Service portal was updated on June 20, 2025 and all existing users must re-register using the same email they used previously.
