Audubon International Certified

In 2025, Coal Creek Golf Course earned designation as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary through Audubon International. This recognition highlights the course’s commitment to environmental stewardship, wildlife habitat, water conservation, and sustainable golf course management.

Coal Creek began working toward certification in 2016 and achieved the designation through efforts such as creating pollinator habitat, reducing chemical use, improving irrigation efficiency, and protecting natural areas throughout the course. Today, native grasses, pollinators, birds, and other wildlife thrive alongside the fairways and Coal Creek corridor.

Coal Creek Golf Course is one of only 3% of golf courses worldwide to earn this certification. The course is regularly evaluated to ensure it continues to meet high environmental standards while providing an outstanding golf experience for the community.
